CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel soccer team got first-half goals from
Suzuka Yosue and Ales Madden, but it was not enough as the Bulldogs fell to Samford, 4-2, Sunday afternoon at WLI Field.

How it Happened
- 7' – Alyssa Frazier scored the first goal of the match off an assist from Jennifer Seward.
- 9' – The Citadel answered back a short time later as Maria Contreras fed Suzuka Yosue off a free kick and Yosue turned and fired a shot off the crossbar and in the net.
- 23' – Alex Madden gave The Citadel the lead as her first shot was stopped by the keeper, but her second was not and rolled into the back of the net.
- 51' – Samford tied the match early in the second half on a goal from Mary Raymond.
- 56' – Kayla Reynolds gave Samford the lead on an assisted goal.
- 85' – Taylor Yount closed out the scoring with an unassisted goal.
