SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Southern Conference men's basketball games between The Citadel and Samford in Birmingham, Alabama, and UNCG and Wofford in Greensboro, North Carolina, on Saturday, Jan. 1, have been postponed due to positive COVID tests and quarantine requirements within the Samford and UNCG programs.
 
The league will attempt to reschedule both games.
 
Four of the five league games for Saturday have now been postponed, as Western Carolina at ETSU and Chattanooga at Mercer were previously announced. Furman at VMI remain scheduled for 1 p.m. in the Ingles SoCon Game of the Week on select Nexstar affiliates.
