CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel volleyball team continues its opening home stand as the Bulldogs welcome Furman to McAlister Field House for a pair of Southern Conference matches on Feb. 7-8. Sunday's match is set to begin at 3 p.m., with Monday's match set for a 5 p.m. first serve.
The Bulldogs enter the weekend with an overall record of 3-4, and a 1-1 mark in conference action. Furman comes to town with a conference record of 0-2.
Chasing Elite Company
Sharlissa de Jesus is fast approaching elite company at The Citadel as she is poised to become just the fifth player to record 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs in her career. She already surpassed the 1,000-kill plateau last season, and enters this week's action with 942 career digs.
Time to Dig
Kenzie Kellerman started the spring season with at least 20 digs in all three matches. She is the first player since
Samantha Espy did it twice in 2016 to record at least 20 digs in three-straight matches. No Bulldogs has had at least 20 digs in four-straight matches in program history.
Can I Assist?
Setter
Amie Greene has stepped in this spring to lead the offensive attack. Through three matches, Greene has handed out 131 assists, including a career-high 51 in the conference opener against Western Carolina. She has added eight kills and 28 digs.
Up Next
The Bulldogs hit the road for the first time this spring as they travel to Mercer on Feb. 14-15.
