How It Happened
  • Chattanooga applied early pressure with four shots in the first 20 minutes but were unable to put any of the chances on target. Ellie Burgess launched the first shot on goal for the day as she nearly put the Bulldogs in front in the 22nd minute before Ashton Shields made the save.
  • Brie Sikes made her first save of the afternoon in the 25th minute to deny Chattanooga's Grace Klippenstein.
  • The Mocs took a 1-0 lead at the 37:04 as Maddie Burman sent a low cross in that found the foot of Osa Iyare for the score; Chattanooga maintained its lead through the halftime break.
  • Sikes kept the Bulldogs in the match throughout the second half, making a trio of saves across the final 45 minutes to stay within one goal.
  • Burgess again nearly equalized for The Citadel in the 74th minute, finding space at the edge of the box and firing towards goal but sending the chance just over the crossbar.
  • The Citadel made a strong offensive push in the final minute and got the ball into Chattanooga's box but was unable to create a strong chance out of the opportunity as the Mocs held on for the narrow 1-0 win.

Inside the Numbers
  • Brie Sikes made five saves on the day, her fourth time in the last five outings coming away with at least five stops.
