Dix Named to CoSIDA Academic All-District Team

CHARLESTON, S.C. – Senior forward Logan Dix has been named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District Team as announced by the organization on Thursday afternoon, becoming only the second selection for the prestigious honor in program history.

Dix joins former Bulldog Shanna Couch in earning the accolades after Couch was named to the squad in 2010. The Tipp City, Ohio, native is the lone player in program history to be named to the First Team; Couch received Third Team honors.

One of the top strikers in the Southern Conference, Dix is one of six SoCon student-athletes to receive the recognition this year; Mercer's Jordyn Ebert and Ally Fordham, Wofford's Maggie Adcock, Samford's Caroline Orman and Furman's Isabella Gutierrez joined Dix on the District 4 team.

This season, Dix enjoyed one of the top individual seasons in school history, becoming just the fifth player to score double-digit goals in a single season and the first to do so since 2014. Her 10 goals were tied for 16th among all Division I players this season, leading all SoCon players in the category; her 22 total points (10 goals, two assists) are the seventh-most in a single season in The Citadel's history and ranked 34th in the nation in 2020-21.

For her career, Dix is up to 25 goals, the fourth-most in program history, and her 58 total points are tied for third all-time at The Citadel alongside Kelly Pesterfield. Although Dix has completed four years of competition, she announced following the season that she planned to return for a fifth and final campaign with the Bulldogs.

This year's CoSIDA Academic All-America honorees are currently set to be announced on Monday, July 5. The Citadel is a member of CoSIDA's District 4, comprised of programs located in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and Puerto Rico.
