Soccer Shuts Out ETSU in SoCon Opener

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – The Citadel got a pair of goals from Jordyn Geller and Suzuka Yosue in the first half, and used a stout defense to defeat ETSU, 2-0, Friday evening in the Southern Conference opener for both teams.

How it Happened
  • 25' – Jordyn Geller got the Bulldogs on the board as she took the feed from Suzuka Yosue and beat the goalkeeper to the bottom right corner of the net.
  • 29' – The Bulldogs doubled the advantage a short time later as Yosue scored her seventh goal of the season off a feed from Leanne Bryant.

  • Suzuka Yosue played a part in both goals. She assisted on the first and scored the second. The assist was her eighth of the season, while the goal was her seventh.
  • The eight assists sets a new single-season record at The Citadel. Yosue is already the school's career-leader in assists.
