COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Citadel's Kenzie Kellerman and Ali Ruffin are heading to the Olympic and Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado for the USA Volleyball Women's National Team Open Program, formerly known as the Open Tryout. The Open Program runs from Feb. 25-27.
 
Both athletes will be in the Friday PM Blue Wave.
 
The Open Program is part of the selection process for the U.S. Women's National Team, USA Volleyball's NCAA Elite Athlete List and the 2022 U.S. Women's Collegiate National Team.
 
Kellerman finished out her junior season with 445 digs (4.54 dig/set), 83 assists, 18 service aces and three kills. Her 445 digs rank third on the school's single-season list, while her 1,128 career digs rank seventh on the all-time list.
 
She double figures in digs in 24 of the 26 matches on the season. She eclipsed 20 digs eight times, including a season-best 26 digs against Presbyterian and Samford.
 
Ruffin was named the Southern Conference Freshman of the Year after recording 291 kills, 276 digs, 28 service aces, 25 assists and 32 blocks. She posted double-digit kills in 16 matches and finished the year with 10 double-doubles.
 
She posted a career-high 21 kills, and added 16 digs in the semifinal victory over Samford. She registered her career-high of 23 digs in a five-set match at UNCG. Ruffin led the team with nine kills in the NCAA Tournament against Georgia Tech.
