CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel head women's soccer coach Ciaran Traquair announced the team's 2023 schedule on Friday. The 18-match schedule features seven matches on WLI Field.
 
The Bulldogs begin play with a pair of road exhibition matches. The Citadel will take on Coastal Carolina in Conway on Aug. 6 and College of Charleston at Patriots Point on Aug. 11.
 
The regular season begins on Aug. 18 as the Bulldogs take on Mississippi Valley State in Macon, Georgia. The season-opening road swing continues Aug. 20 at Winthrop.
 
The 2023 home opener is Aug. 24 as the Bulldogs welcome Francis Marion to WLI Field. On Aug. 27, The Citadel will play host to Charlotte.
 
The Bulldogs close out the month of August with a road contest at South Carolina State on Aug. 29.
 
The month of September sees the Bulldogs play their final four non-conference games before opening Southern Conference action. After playing host to North Dakota State on Sept. 3, The Citadel hits the road for its final three out of conference contests. The Bulldogs will face UNC Asheville (Sept. 7), USC Upstate (Sept. 10) and Charleston Southern (Sept. 13).
 
SoCon action gets underway on Sept. 21 at UNCG, with the conference home opener set for Sept. 24 against Chattanooga.
 
The remainder of the SoCon home schedule features ETSU (Oct. 5), Western Carolina (Oct. 12) and Mercer (Oct. 22). The Bulldogs will travel to Furman (Sept. 28), VMI (Oct. 1), Samford (Oct. 8) and Wofford (Oct. 15).
 
The 2023 SoCon Tournament will be played Oct. 24-Nov. 5.
