BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – The Citadel women's soccer team scored right before halftime, but Gardner-Webb answered early in the second half as the two squads played to a 1-1 draw on Thursday evening.

How It Happened:

44' – Elisa Fuentes' PK goal, but CIT ahead 1-0 at the break.
53' – GW knotted the match early in the second half with a goal in the top center of the net.

Inside the Numbers:

This was Fuentes' second straight match with a goal.
The junior midfielders' two goals in four matches this season doubles her previous career total of one coming into the year (35 matches).
CIT earned a point against GW for just the second time in all-time series history as GW now leads the series 1-4-1.
CIT improves to 1-1-1 against GW in the Ciaran Traquair era.
