The Citadel women’s soccer program and Head Coach Ciaran Traquair are happy to announce the hiring of Peter Dearle as a graduate assistant coach for the 2024 season.
No stranger to the Lowcountry, Dearle comes to The Citadel after playing Division I soccer at both The College of Charleston and Coastal Carolina University.
The Nottingham, England native began his collegiate career with the Cougars, playing three seasons from 2018-20 where he started 39 matches CofC. After his freshman campaign in 2018, he was named to the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) All-Rookie Team before closing out his Cougars career in 2021 with a Second Team All-CAA selection.
The defender transferred to Coastal Carolina for his final two seasons (2021-22) and appeared in 21 matches, making 20 starts for the Chanticleers. He capped off his career with a 2022 All-Sun Belt Second Team selection while also excelling in the classroom on his way to being named to the 2022 NCAA Division I Men’s Scholar All-America Team.
Dearle will be involved with all phases of the program while working specifically with the team’s goalkeepers.
