CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Citadel basketball team welcomes Southern Conference archrival Furman to McAlister Field House on Saturday at 1 p.m. as the Bulldogs search for their eighth home victory this season.

Bulldog fans are encouraged to wear their Citadel basketball "BLUE OUT" t-shirts for free admission.

The 201st all-time meeting with the Paladins, who hold a 116-84 edge, gives The Citadel (8-9, 3-3 SoCon) an opportunity to win back-to-back home games against Wofford and Furman for the second time since the 2012-13 season, following a 69-66 victory over the Terriers on Thursday.

The Citadel is currently on a five-game streak which it has hit at least 50 percent from the floor, setting the standard for the longest stretch this century.

Beginning with a 51.2 percent (21-41) outing against Western Carolina on Jan. 3, the Bulldogs have knocked down at least half of their field goal attempts against UNCG (26-49, 53.1%), Samford (24-49, 51%), Mercer (22-44, 50%) and most recently Wofford (23-41, 56.1%).

Meanwhile, Furman (4-12, 2-4 SoCon) is looking to snap a two-game skid that includes losses to UNCG (71-64) and Mercer (83-73). The Paladins are led in scoring by Stephen Croone (16.8 ppg.) and Geoff Beans (10.3).

The game can be seen live on the Southern Conference Digital Network and can be heard on Fox Radio Sports 1450 with play-by-play announcer Mike Legg making the call for the Bulldogs.
