CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Citadel basketball team makes a brief return home on Thursday when it hosts Southern Conference foe Samford at 7 p.m.
 
The game is being sponsored by the Yellow Pages, which will provide parents of Spike KIDet Club members with one free ticket each.
 
The Citadel (6-8, 1-2 SoCon) is in search of its sixth win at home this season and first in league play. The Bulldogs are also looking to win back-to-back league games, following an 85-83 overtime victory against UNCG on Monday, for the first time since they won three straight at the close of the 2013-14 campaign.
 
The Cadets have held their opposition to 54.5 points per game at McAlister Field House this season, while knocking down 138-of-302 (45.7%) from the floor. Only Navy and Chattanooga have cracked the 60-point mark against The Citadel at home.
 
On the other hand, Samford (7-10, 0-4 SoCon) is 1-6 on the road this season with the lone win taking place at Presbyterian on Dec. 16. The Bulldogs are led by the duo of Tyler Hood (10.8 ppg) and Michael Bradley (5.5 rpg).
 
The game can be seen live on the Southern Conference Digital Network and can be heard on Fox Radio Sports 1450 with play-by-play announcer Mike Legg making the call for the Bulldogs.
