CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel volleyball team will travel to Greensboro, North Carolina, to take on the University of North Carolina at Greensboro on Wednesday at 6 p.m. inside Fleming Gymnasium.
"We are looking forward to getting back on the court," head coach
Craig Mosqueda said. "UNCG is a solid team with both a solid defense and offense. I know our team wants to get back on the court and put together a strong performance."
In their last outing, the Bulldogs (6-15, 0-5 SoCon) fell to Wofford inside McAlister Field House. In the match, The Citadel boasted six blocks, while the Terriers had none. Sophomore
Zuri Fenderson led the match with two solo blocks and three block assists.
Senior
Bailey Kernodle led the Bulldogs in kills with 11 and also had four digs against Wofford. Senior
Rachel Keefer provided a team-high 23 assists along with a team-high eight digs in the match.
The Spartans (12-8, 2-3 SoCon) enter the competition following a 3-0 win against Furman. UNCG is undefeated at home and snapped a six-match losing streak on Oct. 3 with a win against Western Carolina. The squad is coached by Corey Carlin, who is in second season at the helm.
