CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel athletic department invites all basketball fans to join us for our home opener and help us Pack the Mac on Tuesday, Nov. 17 at 6 p.m., when the Bulldogs host Stetson at McAlister Field House to launch the 2015-16 home schedule.
Last season's Pack the Mac event saw a season-high 4,248 fans pile into McAlister Field House to watch The Citadel host VMI. After the success of last year's promotion, the Bulldogs will play three featured Pack the Mack games this season, including the Jan. 30 tilt with rival VMI and the Feb. 20 matchup against Western Carolina in addition to Tuesday's home opener.
Fans can purchase a three-game package that ranges from $15 for students to $25 for adults. Single game tickets are available for each Pack the Mac game and prices vary. Tuesday's contest vs. Stetson, sponsored by SubStation and presented by Charleston Rental Properties, is new head coach Duggar Baucom's first official game at McAlister Field House at the helm of the Bulldogs. The entire South Carolina Corps of Cadets will be in attendance, and head football coach Mike Houston and the 20th-ranked Bulldogs will be recognized at halftime.
Coach Baucom is nationally recognized for his fast-paced style of play that has led the nation in scoring six times in the past eight seasons. The Citadel returns five contributors to last year's squad and welcomes 10 new faces, including a pair of seasoned graduate transfers and six freshmen.
