CHARLOTTE, N.C.
 – The Citadel basketball team finishes its nonconference slate and concludes a three-game road swing at UNC-Charlotte on Tuesday. The Bulldogs are 7-5 and seeking their eighth nonconference win for the first time since 2004-05.

Head coach Duggar Baucom returns to his alma mater when The Citadel takes on the 49ers in the two schools' first ever meeting. Baucom received his bachelor's degree from Charlotte in 1995. Tuesday's 7 p.m. contest will be broadcast on Sports Radio 1450 AM. An online stream will available at Charlotte49ers.TV, but a subscription fee is required.

Before the holiday break, The Citadel split a pair of tough road games, downing Bethune-Cookman before falling to Campbell. The Bulldogs' 99 points racked up at Bethune-Cookman were the most points scored at the Wildcats' Moore Gymnasium since 1991.

Senior Derrick Henry has been the driving force off the bench for Baucom's team. Henry averaged 26.5 points per game over the last two games. After recording a team-high 23 points vs. Bethune-Cookman, Henry matched his career-high with 30 points in the Bulldogs' loss to Campbell. He is the only player in the Southern Conference with two 30-point performances this season (at USC-Upstate). Henry will look to reach double figures for the 13th consecutive game to open the 2015-16 campaign on Tuesday.

After the matchup with Charlotte, The Citadel opens up Southern Conference play by hosting preseason league favorite Chattanooga. The Mocs and Bulldogs square off on Saturday at 1 p.m. at McAlister Field House.
