Bulldogs Open Home Slate Against Morris College

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Citadel plays its first home game of the season as the Bulldogs welcome Morris College to McAlister Field House on Nov. 12. Tip-off is set for noon.

ON THE RADIO
All games for the 2021-22 season will be carried on 102.1FM and 1450AM. The voice of the Bulldogs, Luke Mauro, returns for his third season behind the mic.

ESPN+
Friday's home opener against Morris will be carried on ESPN+. Kyle West and Jason Kempf will be on the call.

THE HISTORY WITH MORRIS
Friday's matchup with Morris College will be the first contest between the two programs.

SCOUTING THE HORNETS
Morris College enters the contest with an overall record of 2-3. The Hornets won their first two contests, but have dropped each of their last three games.

TAKING DOWN A POWER 5
The Citadel's victory over Pitt marked the first victory over a Power 5 team since defeating South Carolina, 88-87, on Feb. 22, 1989.

BEATING THE ACC
The season-opening victory over Pitt was the first over a team from the ACC since a 58-56 victory over Clemson on Jan. 6, 1979. The win put an end to a 46-game losing streak against the ACC.

DRAINING THREES
Freshman Jason Roche knocked down eight three-pointers in the victory over Pitt. The eight three-pointers are tied for the eighth most in a game in program history, and the third most by a freshman.

FRESHMAN DEBUT
The 27 points scored by Jason Roche in his collegiate debut are the most by any Bulldog in program history.

BROWN FILLS STAT SHEET
Hayden Brown filled the stat sheet against Pitt as he finished with 19 points, seven rebounds and four assists. He opened the second half by scoring the first seven points for the  Bulldogs.

UP NEXT
The Citadel heads back out on the road as the Bulldogs travel to face Presbyterian on Nov. 15. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
