Basketball Closes Road Swing in Asheville

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The Citadel closes out its three-game road swing as the Bulldogs travel to face UNC Asheville on Dec. 1. Tip-off is set for 6:30 p.m. and will be streamed on ESPN+

ON THE RADIO
All games for the 2021-22 season will be carried on 102.1FM and 1450AM. The voice of the Bulldogs, Luke Mauro, returns for his third season behind the mic.


THE HISTORY WITH UNC ASHEVILLE
Wednesday's matchup is the fifth all-time meeting between the two schools. They have split the previous four meetings, alternating wins and losses.

SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
UNC Asheville enters the game with an overall record of 3-3. The Bulldogs are coming off a 106-36 victory over St. Andrews. UNCA is averaging 73.8 points per game and are led by Jamon Battle at 9.8ppg and Tajion Jones at 9.7ppg.


ANOTHER BULLDOG MATCHUP
For the second-straight game, The Citadel will be taking on an opponent that shares the same Bulldog mascot. The Citadel faced the South Carolina State Bulldogs on Sunday.


CLARK'S NEAR TRIPLE-DOUBLE
Forward Stephen Clark nearly recorded the first triple-double in school history when he finished with 13 points, 15 rebounds and eight assists. He set career-highs for rebounds and assists in the game.


OVERTIME ON THE ROAD
The Citadel has played a pair of overtime games in their four road contests this season. The Bulldogs fell in double overtime at Presbyterian and defeated South Carolina State.

The Citadel returns to the friendly-confines of McAlister Field House as the Bulldogs welcome North Carolina Central on Dec. 6 at 7 p.m.
