Bulldogs Return to Action Against St. Andrews

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Citadel returns from final exams to take on St. Andrews on Dec. 16 inside McAlister Field House. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.

ON THE RADIO
All games for the 2021-22 season will be carried on 102.1FM and 1450AM. The voice of the Bulldogs, Luke Mauro, returns for his third season behind the mic.


THE HISTORY WITH ST. ANDREWS
Thursday's matchup will be the first meeting between the two schools on the hardwood.


SCOUTING THE KNIGHTS

St. Andrews enters the contest with an overall record of 1-11. The game will count as an exhibition game for the Knights. Isaac Clay leads the offense at 14.6 points per game. He is joined in double figures by XZavier McFadden at 12.5 points and Myron Williams at 10.3. Corry Addison averages a team-high 5.0 rebounds per game.


BROWN DROPS 32
Hayden Brown scored a season-high 32 points in the victory over NC Central. He scored 21 points in the first half. The 32 points are the second-highest total in his career, trailing only his 37-point effort against Chattanooga last season.

CLARK SWATTING AWAY SHOTS
Stephen Clark continues to protect the rim as the junior swatted away five shots in the win over NC Central. The five blocks matches his career-high that was set against North Carolina A&T, Chattanooga and Furman a season ago.


BROWN NAMED SOCON PLAYER OF THE MONTH

Hayden Brown was named the Southern Conference Player of the Month for the month of November. He was honored after averaging 17.2 points, 8.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists in helping the Bulldogs to a 4-2 record.

The Citadel hosts the Cobb Dill & Hammett Classic on Dec. 20-21. The Bulldogs will face South Carolina State on Monday at 5 p.m., and then face Manhattan on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
