How It Happened
- Wofford threatened early with a shot and a corner kick in the opening five minutes of action, but Rachel Rasins' attempt was well wide and the Bulldog defense turned away the corner to maintain the early deadlock.
- Midway through the half, The Citadel threatened and placed the first shot on goal of the contest as Logan Dix found space and fired, but Maria Mon was there for the stop despite the strong chance in the 30th minute.
- Late in the half, Zoey Conrad nearly put The Citadel in front with another chance, but again Mon made the stop to send the two sides into the halftime break still scoreless.
- Jess Newton made a flurry of saves to keep the Terriers off the board in the first 10 minutes of the second half, denying a trio of shots including nearly back-to-back attempts from Rasins and Katie Gilligan in the 54th minute.
- Olivia Hughes netted the go-ahead goal for Wofford at the 60:38 mark and Rasins added another in the 88th minute to double the Terriers' advantage.
- The Citadel pushed up offensively following Hughes' goal, but was unable to put a shot on goal over the final 30 minutes of action.
