WINNING IS CONTAGIOUS
With two straight wins, the winning bug has caught The Citadel women's soccer program heading into the heart of SoCon season. The Bulldogs have beaten last year's SoCon Championship participants Samford and Furman, then most recently downed Wofford on Sunday 1-nil for a 3-2 league mark and currently sit in third place. This week's RPI shows The Citadel as the highest-ranking military program in NCAA Division I (176th). Sunday's win at Wofford gave Ciaran Traquair his 50th career win as head coach of The Citadel, the most for any coach in program history.

HOW THE WEEKEND WAS WON
The Bulldogs, having only ever beaten Furman twice all-time entering Thursday, played a near-flawless game against the Paladins. They controlled the ball for most of the game and delivered when they needed to. Jimena Risoto's scored in the 24th minute from Suzuka Yosue, then Yosue put the game out of reach with a score of her own in minute 85. At Wofford on Sunday the match was gridlocked at zero at halftime before Ashley Frank drilled one to the bottom left corner at 50' from Suzuka Yosue's header off a corner kick. Brie Sikes presided in goal for both matches to get the pair of shutouts and climb to 4-2.

TRAQUAIR ON THE WINNING TRACK
Head coach Ciaran Traquair reached 50 career wins at The Citadel following Sunday's win at Wofford, further cementing his status as the all-time winningest coach in program history. This also includes his .428 winning percentage. Traquair is closing in on beating every SoCon opponent, needing wins against Western Carolina and UNC Greensboro.

YOSUE RISES THROUGH THE RANKS!
Suzuka Yosue played a hand in every goal this weekend for four points on one goal and two assists. Her 32 career assists is a school record, while moving into second all-time with 74 points, just five away from Mariana Garcia (2010-13). Her 21 career goals ties her for fifth all-time with Amy Loughran (2008-11). The senior leads the SoCon in assists this season with eight, third with 16 points, and seventh with four goals.
