I'm delighted she's been able to round out another great season with first team recognition."
Elisa Fuentes, SoCon All-Freshman – Midfielder
Fuentes, a true freshman, had a great debut season, appearing in 16 games with seven starts, logging just under 800 minutes. She helped record two assists this season, the first of which occurred as the opening score in The Citadel's 3-nil win over USC Upstate Sept. 2, then helping on a go-ahead goal against Mercer on Oct. 14.
Traquair: "Elisa is a talented player and has shown it against the best teams in the SoCon. She brings a level of maturity on the ball that is rare for freshman. I expect her to really grow into the attacking midfield role as a sophomore."
Celeste Nader, SoCon All-Freshman - Defender
Nader was the only true freshman to start all 18 games this season and one of only three Bulldogs overall, logging a team-best 1500 minutes on the back line.
