CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel women's soccer team led 1-0 at the half before they exploded for four goals in the second 45 minutes while holding the Francis Marion Patriots to just two shots on their way to a 5-0 victory.
How It Happened:

Ryleigh Jenkins' shot to the bottom left corner was saved by the FMU goalkeeper.
24' –
Caroline Weeren's low-shot attempt was handled in the center of the net to keep the match scoreless.

Grace Duncan's cross to the right post was headed just inside the bar by
Ariana Paez for her second goal of the season to put the Bulldogs ahead 1-0.
31' – Minutes later,
Alexis Haire's strike to the bottom left corner was turned away by the FMU goalkeeper.
46' – Moments into the second half, a rebound off a Citadel shot found the foot of
Samantha Grantham, who finished it for her first collegiate goal. Grantham netted her second goal less than a minute later to give CIT some breathing room at 3-0.
55' – From the left side of the box,
Didi Turay recorded her second marker of the season as the Bulldogs scored three times in less than 10 minutes into the half to break open the match at 4-0.

Maggie Melogy finished a great ball from the far sideline for her first goal of the season to end the scoring for the night.
