A multi-faceted athlete, Douglas finished his career with The Citadel a seven-time letterman across football and track & field, playing free safety for the former while posting numerous records in the triple jump for the latter. With the football team, he competed as a Bulldog between 1979-1981 with team captain credit both his junior and senior seasons, collecting a notable six career interceptions while guiding the program to a 20-12-1 mark.
For track & field, Douglas reset the outdoor triple jump school record each year en route to multiple All-Southern Conference awards, locking in the still-current best during his senior campaign behind a 49'-4" bound. He also holds the indoor triple jump mark, set in 1982, behind a 48'-2.5" vault.
After graduating, Douglas commissioned into the United States Air Force, advancing to the rank of Captain while serving as an instructor navigator in both the KC and RC-135. He later entered the private sector in sales and account management, and currently owns Capital Services Group in Roswell, Ga., a freight brokerage company.
