CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel wrestling team hosts Limestone College inside McAlister Field House on Friday beginning at 2 p.m. for the last dual of 2015.
 
This will be the first dual for the Bulldogs since their 35-13 win over Anderson University on Nov. 11. The Citadel (2-0) currently holds a 2-1 overall record in the series with Limestone.
 
Marshall Haas placed third at the Wolfpack Open on Nov. 22 at 197 pounds after going 5-1 on the day. Freshman Sawyer Root also placed at the Wolfpack Open, taking fourth at 184 pounds after going 2-2 in the tournament. Tim Knipl lost in the consolation semifinals in the tournament and ended with a 3-2 record for the day. In all three of their final matches, each Bulldog faced a SoCon foe.
 
Aaron Walker had a strong showing at the Cliff Keen Invitational, reeling off five straight victories after losing his first match. The junior finished in eighth place after fighting his way back through the consolation bracket.
 
The Saints, a Division II school out of Gaffney, South Carolina, come into the match at 3-1 overall. Limestone just recently earned two victories at the Newberry Duals, taking the first match 52-0 over Truett-McConnell College and the second match 50-0 over Spartanburg Methodist College.
 
Limestone had five placers at The Citadel Open back at the beginning of November including Raekwon Reggler who took second place after losing to Knipl by a 3-1 decision in the championship match. Knipl also knocked off Matthew Ostermiller in the semifinals at 174 pounds before taking home the title.
 
Following the match on Friday, seniors Matt Frisch and Haas will head to Reno, Nevada, for the Reno Tournament of Champions. Tagged as the "Toughest Tournament in the USA", the tournament will take place at the Reno Convention Center with matches beginning at 9 a.m. Sunday. First, third and fifth place matches are set to begin at 6 p.m. after a full day of competition. The tournament, first held in January 1996, consists of 23 teams this year.
