CHARLESTON, S.C.
– The Citadel (7-9, 0-3) continues a three-game homestand when it takes on Wofford (6-10, 3-1) on Thursday and Furman (9-8, 3-1) on Saturday at McAlister Field House. Both games will air on ESPN3 and Sports Radio 1450 AM. Thursday's tip off vs. the defending conference champion Terriers is set for 6 p.m.

Freshman Connor Schroeder put together a breakout performance in the Bulldogs' last game, setting new career highs for points (14), rebounds (six) and assists (two). The Citadel's comeback attempt fell short in the second half as Mercer won 91-80.

Thursday's game, brought you to by Allstate and presented by Coke and Bulldog Tours, features the 100th all-time meeting between The Citadel and Wofford. The Bulldogs have historically had success defending its home court against the Terriers, securing 30 of their 47 total wins in the series at home. The Bulldogs won last year's matchup at McAlister Field House in a 69-66 thriller. At halftime, the Commandant's Office and Cadets will face off in a friendly pick-up game.

When The Citadel hosts Furman on Saturday the Bulldogs will seek their 86th win all time over the Paladins and 53rd at home. The game is sponsored by Ashley Furniture. The two programs split their regular season meetings last season before Furman downed the Bulldogs in the 2015 SoCon Tournament.

Following the homestand, The Citadel hits the road to face Western Carolina on Jan. 21 and East Tennessee State on Jan. 23. For more information on The Citadel basketball, follow @CitadelHoops.

NOTES
• The Citadel is the only team in the nation that averages more than 90 points a game with a Division I-leading 90.1 PPG. In scoring offense, the Bulldogs are joined by Kansas, Oklahoma, Duke and North Carolina in the top five.
• The Bulldogs have scored more than 90 points seven times in 2015-16. Prior to this season, the Dogs had scored 90 points just five times since the 2010 campaign.
• The Citadel has won a combined 132 games against Wofford and Furman.
• Through 16 games, The Citadel has already racked up 1,442 points. With at least 16 games remaining, the Bulldogs are on pace to finish with 2,884 points, which would shatter the school record (2,247) for points in a season by 637 points.
• The Citadel has already drained 193 three-pointers this season. If the Dogs match that output in the second half of the season, they will break the school record for treys in a season (283) by more than 100 threes.
• P.J. Boutte has 97 assists through 16 games, which is already the most in any season during his career. If the season ended today, his assist-TO ratio (2.37) would the third highest in a season in program history.
• Four freshmen (Zane Najdawi, Matt Frierson, Quayson Williams and Connor Schroeder) are averaging a combined 30.6 points per game in Southern Conference play.
• Najdawi has started 13 games as the Bulldogs' center. He ranks second in the SoCon in blocks per game with 1.8 and ranks third in the league in field goal percentage, shooting 56.5 percent (48-of-85).
• Frierson has made half of his three-pointers this season in the last four games. He's making 38 percent of his attempts from deep.
• Williams has drilled 33 three-pointers through 16 games, which is already the 11th most ever made by a freshman in program history.
• Schroeder earned his first two starts in the last couple games and looks to be a mainstay in the lineup moving forward after a career night vs. Mercer.
• The Citadel ranks in the top five in the nation in steals per game and turnovers forced per game due to its swarming, constant full court pressure.
• The Citadel is the only team in the Southern Conference to have forced more than 300 turnovers this season. The Bulldogs lead the league in steals and turnover margin. Conference play has been no different as the Dogs have forced a league-best 55 turnovers in three SoCon games. Samford committed a season-high 23 TOs against The Citadel.
• The Bulldogs sit atop the Southern Conference in several statistical categories, including points per game, total assists (295), assists per game (18.4), total field goals made (502) and three-pointers per game (12.1).
• P.J. Boutte has four double-digit assist games this year. Only one other player in the SoCon has atleast one double-digit assist game. Seven of the top nine single-game assist performances have been recorded by a Citadel player. Boutte is responsible for six of them.
