CHARLESTON, S.C. –
Coming off its first Southern Conference victory of the season, The Citadel will take its momentum on the road as the Bulldogs head to Western Carolina on Thursday and East Tennessee State on Saturday. Thursday's game vs. the Catamounts tips off at 7:30 p.m. on the SoCon Digital Network.

The Bulldogs outlasted Furman last Saturday in an 89-86 thriller. Senior Derrick Henry recorded his first career double-double with 16 points and a career-high 10 rebounds to lead The Citadel. P.J. Boutte added 14 points and six assists. The duo scored 22 second-half points, helping the Bulldogs stave off a furious Furman comeback in the final minutes.

The Citadel is 35-32 all-time vs. Western Carolina, but the Bulldogs are looking to snap an eight-game losing skid in the series. The Citadel's last win over the Catamounts came in 2011. Meanwhile, the Bulldogs have won two of their last three meetings with East Tennessee State.

Following the road trip, The Citadel returns home to host UNC-Greensboro on Jan. 28 and VMI on Jan. 30. The matchup with VMI will be the second of three Pack the Mac events at McAlister Field House this season. To purchase tickets, visit PackTheMac.com. NOTES
• Junior Brian White is 33 points shy of becoming the 46th player in program history to score at least 800 points in his career. He's on pace to join the 1000-career point club early next season.
• After his 16-point outburst in Saturday's win over Furman, White has scored at least 15 points six times this season. The Citadel is 5-1 in those games.
• The Bulldogs' 89 points in last Saturday's win over Furman were the most The Citadel has scored in a win over a Southern Conference opponent since racking up 105 against Western Carolina on Jan. 12, 2002.
• Quinton Marshall has already matched the highest season scoring output of his career with 224 points during the 2015-16 campaign (notched 224 as a sophomore). He's 15 points shy of surpassing the 700-point plateau.
• The Citadel is the only team in the nation that averages more than 89 points a game with a Division I-leading 89.7 PPG.
• Senior point guard P.J. Boutte has dished out 111 total assists through 18 games, which leads the SoCon. The 111 dimes already ranks 16th all-time in program history for assists in a season. If the 2015-16 campaign ended today, his 2.36 assist-to-turnover ratio would rank third all-time in school history for a single season. So far it's the highest assist-to-turnover ratio by a Bulldog since 2000-01.
• The Citadel has piled up 1,614 total points with at least 14 games remaining on the schedule. At this pace, the Bulldogs will set the program record for points in a season (2,247), by 623 points.
• The Citadel has already drained 209 three-pointers this season (11.6 per game). If the Dogs match that output down the stretch, they will break the school record for 3s in a season (283) by more than 80 treys.
• Over the last two games, Derrick Henry made 19-of-22 free throw attempts. He's shot more free throws (115) than any other player in the SoCon and ranks fourth in the league in free throw percentage (82.6 percent).
• Henry is tied for first in the league in scoring with 17.4 points per game despite not ranking in the top ten in the SoCon in minutes played.
• Henry is the only player in the Southern Conference with multiple 30-point performances and he's one of just 15 players in Citadel history to have at least two total 30-point games. Henry recorded his sixth 20-point performance of the season and eighth of his career with 20 points in an 86-83 loss to Wofford. He has as many 20-point games this season as the rest of the Bulldogs combined.
• Freshman Zane Najdawi hasn't had any trouble adjusting to the pace or physicality of conference play. Through five SoCon games, he's averaging 9.2 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.2 blocks in just 21.8 minutes per game. He's started 15 games as the Bulldogs' center. He ranks second in the SoCon in blocks per game with 1.8 and ranks fifth in the league in field goal percentage, shooting 53.5 percent (53-of-99).
• Freshmen Matt Frierson, Connor Schroeder and Quayson Williams are responsible for 35 percent of the Bulldogs' three-pointers this season. Williams has drilled 35 three-pointers through 18 games, which is already the 11th most ever made by a freshman in program history.
• P.J. Boutte has four double-digit assist games this year. Only two other players in the SoCon have at least one double-digit assist game. Seven of the top 10 single-game assist performances have been recorded by a Citadel player. P.J. Boutte is responsible for six of them.
• While he's on the floor, Boutte is assisting on an estimated 35 percent of the Bulldogs' field goals.
• The Citadel is the only team in the SoCon to have forced more than 325 turnovers this season. The Bulldogs lead the league in steals and turnover margin.
