FAST FACTS
• The Citadel's 146 points, 34 assists and 27 steals against Johnson University are the highest single-game totals in the NCAA this season.
• Zane Najdawi was named Southern Conference Player of the Week on Nov. 15, marking the first time since 2014 that a Bulldog earned the award. Najdawi posted two double-doubles to open the 2016-17 season and is the first Bulldog to post back-to-back double-doubles since Mike Groselle did so in 2011. The sophomore is currently tied for first in the NCAA for most double-doubles this season.
• Coach Baucom earned his 200th career win on Nov. 15 with a 119-90 win over Truett McConnell inside McAlister Field House.
• The Bulldogs will embark on the first of two three-game road swings this season on Friday when they travel to Stetson, Iowa State and Arizona State. The only other time The Citadel is away from McAlister Field House for longer than two games is in the midst of SoCon play, Jan. 19-Jan.28.
• Matt Frierson and Quayson Williams are both tied for third in the NCAA for most three-pointers in a game after the sophomores sank seven in back-to-back contests.
• Head coach Duggar Baucom welcomed nine freshmen to the squad over the summer, marking his largest recruiting class as a head coach. All nine freshmen have seen action over the past two games and contributed 139 points.
• Preston Parks turned in two solid performances to open the season for the 'Dogs going for 12 points against College of Charleston and then dishing out 10 assists and tallying eight steals against Johnson University (Fla.). The 10 assists ranks third most in a single game in program history and eight steals ties a single-game record that was set in 2004.
• Guard Frankie Johnson and forward Leandro Allende both started the first three games for the 'Dogs and are averaging 21.0 points combined. The duo also scored in double-figures against Truett McConnell.
