CHARLESTON, S.C. –
The Citadel basketball team hits the road for the first time this season with a Tuesday game at Georgia featured on SEC Network+. Tipoff will be at 7 p.m.

SOME NEW FACES ON THE COURT
Five Bulldogs made their debuts for The Citadel in the season opener against UNC Asheville, including Fletcher Abee, Tyson Batiste, Eddie Davis, III, Rudy Fitzgibbons, III and Jackson Gammons.

ABEE WITH THE START
Abee made his first collegiate start in his collegiate debut Saturday.

ABEE FROM LONG RANGE
In the season opener against UNC Asheville, Abee converted five 3-pointers, the most since Lew Stallworth converted five treys at VMI last season (March 8, 2019).

TYSON WITH THE ASSIST
Batiste's six assists marks the first time a Bulldog has had at least five assists since Stallworth had five last season at home against Samford (Feb. 23, 2019). With his six assists against Asheville, Batiste has now recorded 175 career assists.

THE HISTORY WITH GEORGIA
Tuesday's game will mark the fifth meeting between the two Bulldog squads, but it will be the first since 1962. The Citadel won the first two meetings in 1958 and 1960, but Georgia has won the last two.

SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS FROM ATHENS
Like The Citadel, Georgia has played just one counting game to this point, having beaten Western Carolina 91-72 on Nov. 5. The Bulldogs also beat Valdosta State, 93-81, and Charlotte, 77-69, in preseason exhibition games. In the game against the Catamounts, Georgia shot 47.0% from the field, including 30.8% from beyond the 3-point arc. The Dawgs had 52 rebounds and seven blocks. Last season, the Bulldogs shot 42.0% from the field, 31.8% from beyond the arc, and averaged 68.1 points and 39.4 rebounds per game.

GEORGIA INDIVIDUALLY
The Bulldogs returned two starters from last year's team and five total letterwinners, but brought in 10 newcomers, including nine freshmen and graduate transfer Donnell Gresham, Jr. from Northeastern. The Bulldogs lost their top four scorers, including Yante Maten's 19.3 points per contest. The Dawgs returned starters junior Rayshaun Hammonds and senior Jordan Harris with Hammonds being the top returning scorer from last season, having averaged 6.7 points per game. In the season opener against Western Carolina, Anthony Edwards scored 24 points, Sahvir Wheeler scored 19 and Tyree Crump added 15. Edwards converted four 3-pointers and Crump had three. Edwards was close to a double-double with nine rebounds, while Hammonds brought down 12 boards to go with seven points.

COMING UP
Following the game in Athens, The Citadel will host Campbell on Saturday, Nov. 16. Tipoff will be at 1 p.m.
